Under the direction of Emmy Award–winning filmmaker Spencer Nakasako, teenagers from the Walker Art Center Teen Arts Council (WACTAC) in Minneapolis, Vietnamese Youth Development Center in San Francisco, and the Bronx Museum Teen Council in New York City use video to explore what freedom means to them and their community. In the process of creating their videos, the three groups will compare and contrast the results of their investigation by viewing each others’ work. Their final video works will be presented in the exhibition OPEN-ENDED (the art of engagement).
