Screening of Struggle & Flow

Just finished the screening of Struggle & Flow, and it went well. It was the first screening we had with this film, Work in Progress, and I’m not sure about the audiences reaction cuz they’re not used to this type of event, you know, a rapper, a Cambodian rapper, an Asian film, a Cambodian American film–rapper. So maybe that’s why. But overall it went well. Prach’s performance was good, even though I’ve seen it a thousand time, but this is the 1st event where a short film is about him and then he performs.

Tomorrow is Friday so we’ll see how that goes. Hope it’ll be as smooth. Witt from the walker is still tripping over the credit card issue, but as I’ve mentioned I totally understand and feel him. Also saw Joe Beres, who is also from the Walker and works with the Wisconsin film festival, and he’s changed alot–the way he looks at least. He looks sharp. Probably has a hot date, but I’m glad to see him again. After the event he provided some good suggestion for the film. Also ran into Doryun. Somehow I always seem not recognize him, but once we talk I’m like oh yeah that’s the dude I met in San Francisco. He’s a cool guy. Well all of the Walker Staff are cool so if anyone reads this you should definitely check these guys out. If Witt happens to read this, damn it, it ain’t a joke–I’m saying you’re the man. Hopefully this crazy ass filmmaker name Peter Wong will show up with Mark Tang. See Ya.
